Zo zie je maar, de inzet van het nieuwe jaar is niet altijd rozengeur en maneschijn. EA gaf zonet een lijst vrij van alle spellen die in 2011 het loodje zullen leggen. Naast Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-Earth II, gaat het hier voornamelijk om sportspellen. Naar gewoonte besluit EA om de servers van deze spellen na een tijdje te verwijderen, omdat de spellen gewoonweg te oud worden en bijna niet meer gespeeld worden.
EA vindt het een moeilijke en pijnlijke beslissing, er wordt namelijk met hart en ziel gewerkt aan deze spellen. Niemand wil natuurlijk zijn jaren werk zien verwijderd worden met een simpele knop, daarom biedt EA alvast zijn excuses aan. Geniet van de spellen nu het nog kan, ondertussen kan je deze lijst eens doornemen om alvast te zien wanneer jouw favoriete spel offline zal gaan.
